We hope you enjoyed our conversation with Christine and peek at her favorite gifts to give in gratitude below!
For their birthday, I usually get them a wellness service. For one of our nannies, I gave her a gift certificate to her favorite pilates studio, and the other I called the salon where she gets her hair and nails done and gave them my cc info to charge for the services for that appointment. (correction: I had my other nanny call for me - but we talked through the idea together!) :)
Favorite gift for your nanny to extend extra gratitude around a core holiday
- Mini Theragun - a nanny job is both mentally and physically draining.
- New fanny pack (they are all the rage these days)
- Hatch Restore 2 - it’s a joy to wake up to!
- Puzzles themed around their favorite things (one nanny is obsessed with Taylor Swift, so I could her a taylor swift themed puzzle one year)
- Adult coloring book mandalas (color it) with glitter pens so they can relax and unwind their overstimulated brains during downtime.
Something personal to mark or celebrate a milestone in your nanny/family assistant’s personal life.
A Macbook Air! I bought each of our nannies a computer so that they can easily work when they are here at our home as a family assistant, but also to use in their personal life. It added a sense of professionalism to the job of nanny.
